The Shelley E. Jones Award of Excellence

This award will be given annually to recognize and honor an individual(s) who

emulates Shelley’s passion and drive for the education of our children to all aspects

of stage performance and production. She did this with compassion, excellence, and

determination through her leadership, innovation, and service.

LEADERSHIP

• Inspires others to serve.
• Supports work of all persons engaged in Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre/TCT.
• Positively impacts lives of children and families by providing educational programs and theatrical experiences.
• Exhibits a commitment to serving the community through theatre.

INNOVATION

• Seeks innovative approaches to implement the TCT Mission: to expose and educate children to all aspects of stage performance and production.
• Pursues community outreach initiatives.
• Shows dedication to equipping young artists to become well-rounded leaders in the future.

SERVICE

• Displays commitment and enthusiasm to serve the children and the organization.
• Has a history of service with TCT.
• Networks with other leaders in the field and seeks to build community.
• Exhibits exceptional artistic quality and technical proficiency in children’s theatre productions.
